What Size Excavator Do I Need?

For Terrace Houses / Bungalows

EC200 (20-tonne). Fits residential lanes and strong enough for foundations and ponds.

For Very Narrow Lanes (<3m)

Only a mini excavator. Contact us for a mini package.

How Long Are Typical Rentals?

Small Project

1-3 days. Daily rate. Suits small demolition, landscaping, ponds.

Medium Project

Is the Operator Included?

Yes — Standard Wet Rate

All our packages are "wet rate" — including a CIDB-certified operator. Bare machine rental without an operator is barely allowed in Malaysia for insurance reasons.

What If I Have My Own Operator?

Please bring a CIDB licence. But the excavator's insurance might not cover an outside operator. Discuss upfront.

Operator OT Charges

RM 80-150 per hour after 8 standard hours.

What Permits Do I Need?

Earthworks Permit

Mandatory if >200 m³. Form from local council (MBPJ, DBKL, MPSJ). Fees RM 100-300.

Heavy Load Permit

For EC400 (>30 tonnes): JKR. Fees RM 200-400.

Neighbour Notice (Commercial)

For DBKL commercial sites: 7 days ahead. Homeowners usually don't need this.

Who Pays for Diesel?

Standard Wet Rate

Diesel not included — client pays. EC200: 15-20L/hr. EC400: 28-35L/hr.

"All-In" Package

For long projects, we can arrange an all-in package including diesel at ~RM 200-400/day premium. Easy budgeting.

What Happens If It Rains?

Light Rain

Work continues. No extra charge.

Heavy Rain (Standby)

50% of daily rate. Operator and rental still apply.

Plan by Season

April-September on the West Coast: dry. November-March on East Coast and Johor: monsoon.

What If the Excavator Breaks Down?

Mechanical Breakdown (Not Customer's Fault)

We send a replacement within 24 hours. Breakdown days are not charged.

Damage from Misuse

Customer covers repair. But our operators are certified — risk is low.

Insurance

We have third-party insurance. For big projects, clients are advised to take their own CAR insurance.
